DEEP SEA FISHING, is characterized as many
things to many different people in many parts of the world. We hope to identify some of these different ways to "Deep Sea Fish" so that you
will be able to understand what is meant when you see a sign that reads, Deep Sea Fishing. Deep Sea Fishing in Florida and expressly
Tampa Bay, Sarasota, and Bradenton area, is probably used by most every vessel that goes offshore. It can mean catching little Grunts
up to big Kings, Cobia, Wahoo, Tarpon, Shark, and many other Sportfish. The term is stretched a bit sometimes. So the next time you see
the phrase "Deep Sea Fishing" on a billboard, it would be a good reason to inquire just what type of fishing is going on, and what type of
boat is being used for the fishing trip. Charter fishing can be placed into a few catagories, mainly Private or Head Boat. Private Charters
usually carry only six persons, inspected and restricted vessels may carry up to a hundred persons. Usually the less persons aboard,
the more fun. You will have to make your decission by how much you wish to spend and what you wish to catch. Don't be afraid to ask
questions, if someone doesn't want to answer, it may mean they are trying to hide something. When you spend your money, try to make
sure that someone is kind to you and will try to enlighten you on what they do in depth, not just want to take your money. Be ware of people
that lower the prices. There is usually a good reason, maybe their boat is not so good, or they have little experience and are having trouble
getting someone to go out with them. This may not make for a great day on the water for you. The Gulf of Mexico is one of the greatest
places to fish in the world, but we hope you will make sure you understand what you will get, so that you will leave happy and with some
great stories to tell the folk back home and of course, come back and have fun with all of us again and again.
