We use HP pc's & Sonar 7 with analog/digital 24 bit multi-FX prosessor board in our studio to deliver our track functions and overdubs & mixing process. On location we use Sony VAIO
with Sonar 7 for our reception files. We use an interface to set mics and seperate track files.
We shoot most of our video on Sony High Definition 1080i commercial camera. It also
delivers stills on SM cards in High Definition. We process our media on Sony high-graphic VAIO laptop pc. The processing is done with
Vegas Pro 8.0, and DVD Architect Pro 45.
As we previously said, we shoot most of our video on Sony High Definition 1080i commercial camera. It also
delivers stills on SM cards in High Definition. We process our media on Sony high-graphic VAIO laptop pc. The processing is done with
Vegas Pro 8.0, and DVD Architect Pro 45. Pictured is the Sony VIAO we had specially built to handle large color graphics. We also use this
laptop on location for both audio, video, and to process the daily stills.
The sounds, whether musical or SFX, are mainly taken from two keyboard units
made by KORG. One is a Personal Arranger 50, and the other is a Personal Arranger 2X Pro, one of the top sounds in the world today. We
also write and record our original background music from these two KORGs. The sounds are as perfect as can be had today.
Pictured is our lounge area. Quite comfortable.
To the left is our bar, which comes in quite handy for those party times.
For vocal and accoustical micing we use a Rode NT 1A screened microphone. for other
types of sound we have available a remote EV-RE, and 2, EV 627B's hi-clearity and directional, and several shotgun mics. We can cover
most situations and we usually record large groups in-line.
We primarily use two kinds of headphones. They are both Sony. One is a closed
sound headphone called a Professional MDR-7506, which we use when we have open mics. The other is a Professional Dynamic Stereo
MDR-7509HD. They can be used for first mixes and when using in-line recording.
We have found that flat Bose speakers work very well in smaller spaces, like
mixing or mastering areas. In the studio, we can take a flat speaker and EQ it to the room more easily than some speakers made for large
rooms. They seem to have some mid-range in the 400 to 500 areas that we find hard to get rid of. We have two completly different Stereo
circuits, one for each type of speaker. At top is one most used in hotels and businesses, at the bottom is a very responsive stereo
speaker that does not blow out the high range. With these we seem to come out with very clear areas of vocals and music with a very
clear bass that stands out and doesn't get mixed up with the rest of the sound or boom.
We use DBX Professional Stereo Compressors and Limitors. We also have the studio
EQ'ed with DBX ProEQ also. For background we use DigiTeck effects and harmony VocalistLive 2 and KORG 2X Pro.
